RMS Cranes can be seen across the Denver, Colorado skyline as the city continues to grow. The LoDo urban district & Union Station areas of downtown Denver currently have multiple new development projects at work. RMS Cranes is proud to be servicing the continued growth of the city while they currently have three projects with 5 tower cranes in the South West Area of downtown Denver.
Project 1: Ascent Union Station In May 2017, construction began for Ascent Union Station, a new mixed-use development by Greystar Real Estate Partners which is set for completion in Fall 2019. Ascent Union Station will be a 387,000-square-foot, high-rise apartment building with 168 luxury residential units, two guest suites, amenity spaces, ground floor retail, and underground parking. RMS Cranes was awarded the crane contract by the general contractor, Milender White. For the next 8 months, one of RMS Cranes’ 22 ton Potain MD 485B tower cranes will provide crane support for the project. Project 2: The Coloradan The $200 million building will include 334 exclusive condos as well as 19,000 square feet of ground level floor retail and a 447-space parking garage. RMS Cranes was awarded the crane contract by the general contractor, GE Johnson Construction Co. in 2016, beginning work in January of 2017. RMS Cranes currently supports the crane portion of the project with (1) 22 ton Potain MD 485B tower crane as well as (1) Manitowoc 888 with luffing jib. The Coloradan is estimated to reach completion in September 2018. RMS Cranes will provide crane support for 18 months of the project. Project 3: 16 Chestnut The crane portion of this project was finished in December 2017. 16 Chestnut is a new development project which neighbors the dramatic 200-foot-tall Millennium Bridge. The new 18 story building now stands 240 feet tall with 320,000 square feet of office space, parking garage levels, and ground level retail space. RMS Cranes was awarded the crane contract by the general contractor, Saunders Construction Company. The scope of work for this project required support from two tower cranes, (1) 22 ton Potain MD 485B machine and (1) 18 ton Potain MDT 368 L16 machine.
